Our 2008 Season
The Hudson Lyric Opera had two productions in 2008. "Scenes From Rigoletto" was first; it was a recital program. The operetta "Die Fledermaus" was presented in November. Some notes from that show are below.

The Hudson Lyric Opera, for our 2008 season, will present the operetta Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss Jr. on Friday November 7 at 7:30PM and Friday November 14 at 7:30PM at the Fieldstone Secondary School, 100 Fieldstone Dr., Thiells NY (Off exit 14 on the Palisades Interstate Parkway, see Directions and Map to Fieldstone School). | Die Fledermaus is Strauss's most celebrated and popular comic operetta. It is about love, revenge, mistaken identities, and flirtations at a ball. The ensuing confusion provides a hilarious vehicle for some of the most captivating music ever written. |
